Durable epoxy flooring for Jamie Oliver’s New Italian Restaurant

 In Case Studies

Jamie’s Italian, Jamie Oliver’s new Italian restaurant on Pitt Street in Sydney, commissioned us to install an epoxy floor. We partnered with Girvanwaugh Shopfittters for the project; we have extensive experience installing floors for commercial kitchens. One goal with the project was to make spillages fast and easy to clean.

We used a 100mm coving—formed on site using epoxy mortar. We then trowelled down a 100% solids epoxy, tinted it black and broadcast silica sand to create the look and non-slip surface. Cleanability was especially important so we finished the floor with two coats of black polyaspartic.
